The Case Crown horizontal canvas iPad case is lightweight and made of a plastic impregnated canvas material. My iPad slips easily into and out of the case, and the controls and ports are easily accessed. The cover of the case folds back and can be used to support my iPad in a horizontal position at the perfect angle for typing on a tabletop or on my lap. This case closely resembles Apple Computers own design, but in a different material that does not have edges that might cut into your hands. The case is also easy to clean with a damp cloth, and has an elastic band to hold the cover closed over the iPad. It's easy to slip my iPad out of the case for cleaning, and there is a flap that tucks under my iPad to keep it from slipping out. I think this is one of the best cases, simple like Apple's own design, but made in a different material that addresses some of the shortcomings some people have mentioned with the Apple case, Case Crown's iPad case is also less expensive.

This is one of the best case/stand combinations out there. It's either getting one of the leather cases, or the Macally bookstand, or this. I have tried them all (I'm testing them all for my online store), and this is def one of the best. This is my first ever review for Amazon (or any other website), but I felt the need to post it after using many of the other reviews I've read for the other cases I've ordered. So I hope many other people will do like me and rate this product high (and I am not affiliated with case crown lol). The case is light weight, it looks good, it protects the iPad well, and it stands still. That's all I need.
I'm hoping to see more case/stand combinations like this one (any case which is not a stand as well is not worth carrying your iPad in).

* The materials feel nice on my hands and fingers - great friction without feeling scratchy.
* The iPad fits snugly - no worries that it will be going anywhere. That having been said, all the buttons, switches, and ports are accessible.
* The tab for propping up the iPad for both typing and (flipped over) for viewing seems to be the perfect angle for each activity.
* Closes easily with the elastic, with some screes protection offered by a firm cover/foldable stand.
* Seems to have a high quality of workmanship.
* No outgassing/plastic smell when unpackaged. Either this was sitting open on a shelf for a while or there are few chemicals used in the manufacturing.
* The company badge is about as subtle as you can get - The only was in which I am a walking advertisement is that someone on the subway already asked me where I got the case.
* Nice touch - a fabric flap covers the edge of the iPad that would otherwise be exposed by the slot through which you slide it into the case.
* Senyx - great seller! Very responsive, and seem to get the stock in on a regular basis

The Casecrown case is so close to being the one. It is slim. It provides real protection for the corners of the iPad. It supports both a typing position as well as a more upright stand. In fact, it is very close to the Apple case in terms of awesome usability.
BUT... it blocks the ambient light sensor which causes the device to be too dim in my bright office. Sure I could turn off the auto light sensing, but I don't think any case is worth giving up such basic functionality. And after talking with Casecrown support they have no plans to change the design. Oh well... so close and yet so far.

It seems like most of the big names in apple accessories have decided that they can charge $40+ for iPad cases no matter what they are made of, what features they offer or what their build quality is.
This case breaks that mold and brings a well made, functional case to the ipad at a reasonable price. I really like the way it feels when i carry the iPad around and the elastic strap keeps the front flap secure of the screen. I was also surprised by the quality of the microfiber that encompasses the iPad. My only complaint is that the typing angle feature -- the reason i bought this case -- is just a tiny bit too steep for most situations and can sometimes be uncomfortable. Howwever, it is still more comfortable that typing on a flat ipad and definitely improves my typing speed and accuracy on the software keyboard.
