My daughter got a white one for Christmas in 2009. When I went looking for a new laptop for myself in May 2010 I looked at many models but ultimately concluded that all I really needed was this. The keyboard is the truly exceptional feature of this model. For me it's indistinguishable from a full size. The battery life really is about 6 hours in real use, and the blue model isn't any different from the black or white despite Samsung's specs - it's 5200 mAh, not 5900. The Samsung Recovery Solution provides a useful way to back up your netbook since Windows XP home doesn't include backup, and will back it up straight to an external DVD so you don't really need to lose part of your hard drive to a backup partition (an option of initial setup). I successfully upgraded mine to Windows 7 with no difficulty. The screen is quite good - bright with good contrast and color. The gloss finish on the screen picks up fingerprints easily, but the case doesn't at all. Portability is as good as it gets. Only a smart phone really makes sense if you want to go smaller... or maybe an iPad if you don't mind Apple's proprietary constraints. The sound is also surprisingly good for such a small machine, though not great. The AC adapter is also quite small and light, a pleasant surprise. Overall I'm quite pleased, as everything is "good enough" and the price quite reasonable.
